Eating Disorders

Eating Disorders---01

At Sujjivah Center for Mental Health, we offer specialized treatment for Eating Disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder. These disorders are complex conditions that involve unhealthy relationships with food and body image, and they can have serious physical, emotional, and social consequences. Our holistic, compassionate approach focuses on restoring physical health, improving emotional well-being, and fostering a balanced relationship with food.

Anorexia Nervosa

Anorexia nervosa is characterized by extreme restriction of food intake, intense fear of gaining weight, and a distorted body image. Our treatment plan involves a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), nutritional counseling, and medical monitoring. We aim to address the underlying emotional issues driving restrictive eating and help individuals adopt healthier behaviors and self-esteem.

Bulimia Nervosa

Bulimia nervosa involves episodes of binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors, such as vomiting, excessive exercise, or fasting. This cycle can lead to serious physical and psychological consequences. At Sujjivah, we offer CBT and support therapies to help break the binge-purge cycle, develop healthy eating habits, and improve self-image.

Binge Eating Disorder

Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is characterized by recurrent episodes of consuming large amounts of food while feeling a lack of control. Unlike bulimia, individuals with BED do not engage in purging behaviors. Our treatment approach focuses on CBT, emotional regulation, and establishing a balanced relationship with food.

At Sujjivah, our team works collaboratively to address both the psychological and physical aspects of eating disorders, supporting individuals on their path to recovery and emotional healing.
